Level 2 Instructor Jan Douglass

Jan has practised and taught manual body therapies since 1986 and is an Accredited Instructor with Dr Vodder Akademie International and Medical Taping Concept Group. Jan’s scope of experience includes, Senior Lymphoedema Therapist (Flinders Medical Centre Breast Oncology Clinic), Trial Co-ordinator (Flinders University Lymphoedema Research Unit), and Project Manager (Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine). Jan wrote her Honours Thesis on a yoga program for women with arm lymphoedema after breast cancer, and her PhD and post-doc work are on people affected by filariasis and podoconiosis-related lymphedema in low and middle-income countries. Jan has established the LKN Foundation to offer education and support in daily lymphoedema management to people in LF and podoconiosis endemic countries.
